NEBOSH General Evening Course is run on demand — tell us when you'd like to attend and where, and we'll arrange a date and venue that works for you. Single delegates and group bookings both welcome.
The evening course delivers the full NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety for people who cannot step away from the day job. Instead of a two-week block or day release, the taught content runs in evening sessions spread across several weeks, with the same tutors, the same syllabus and exactly the same qualification at the end.
Everything that defines the certificate is unchanged: Unit NG1, the management of health and safety, assessed by the four-hour open-book examination and closing interview, and Unit NG2, the practical risk assessment carried out in your own workplace. The evening format trades intensity for sustainability: shorter, regular sessions with time to absorb and apply the material at work between them, which many delegates find suits the open-book assessment style well. The full syllabus, assessment detail and career picture are on the main NEBOSH General Certificate page.
The trade-off is calendar time: expect the course to run across a number of weeks rather than a fortnight, and plan private study around the sessions. For those who can take the time in one go, the standard block and day-release formats remain the faster route, and construction specialists should consider the NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
