Health and Safety courses

These are the recognised UK health and safety qualifications, from first certificates to the standard for a dedicated safety role. Workers in any industry start with the 1-day IOSH Working Safely; line managers take the 3-day IOSH Managing Safely, the most widely held management safety certificate in the country. When health and safety becomes the job itself, the NEBOSH General Certificate is the qualification employers name in adverts, with the NEBOSH Construction Certificate applying the same depth to site work and CDM 2015.

Around them sit the focused short courses: risk assessment, manual handling, COSHH and the CITB Director's Role for board-level duties. Construction site managers and supervisors will find SMSTS, SSSTS and the temporary works courses under construction training.
