The Level 6 Senior Site Inspection qualification is for senior construction inspectors: clerks of works, site inspectors, quality managers and NEC supervisors who inspect construction work and hold it to specification. It is competence-based: you prove what you already do, assessed against national standards from your own projects, with no exams. The whole qualification is completed remotely.
It is aimed at professionals who plan and carry out inspections, judge workmanship and materials against drawings and specifications, record and report defects, and advise project teams and clients at a senior level. If that is your role, this qualification turns your inspection practice into senior professional credentials.
This qualification is awarded by ProQual, an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. It covers planning inspection regimes, inspecting work in progress and completed work, evaluating compliance with specifications and standards, reporting and advising, and managing inspection across a project.
Assessment is by portfolio and professional discussion with your assessor, all remote: inspection plans, reports, defect records, photographs and correspondence from your real projects. A Level 6 competence qualification also strengthens applications for senior CSCS cards and professional memberships relevant to inspection roles; check the current criteria for your route.
