Utilities training is built around EUSR, the Energy and Utility Skills Register, and the safety passports the networks require before anyone works on or near their assets. The SHEA schemes cover safety, health and environmental awareness for each network: SHEA Gas, SHEA Power and SHEA Telecom, each registering you with EUSR on passing. Anyone breaking ground needs safe digging training: Cat 1 location of underground services teaches locating buried assets, with the combined Cat 1 and 2 course adding supervisory duties and CAT and Genny covering the detection equipment itself. EUSR Water Hygiene is the national hygiene card for clean water work.
Utility contractors also draw on the core construction safety set, from CITB Health and Safety Awareness to SMSTS for site managers. For team bookings across a framework, use our employer booking service.
