About the EUSR Water Hygiene

EUSR National Water Hygiene is a one-day course required by water companies and contractors before working on or near the public water supply. It results in an EUSR Blue card, valid for three years, and is required by all major UK water utilities.

  • Anyone working on water supply networks, treatment works, or service reservoirs
  • Subcontractors carrying out work for UK water utilities (Thames, Severn Trent, Yorkshire Water, etc.)
  • Engineers, jointers, fitters, surveyors needing water network access

Entry requirements

  • Photographic ID required on the day
  • No prior water industry experience needed
