About the Mental Health First Aid - 2 day

The MHFA England 2-day Mental Health First Aider course qualifies delegates as a Mental Health First Aider, the mental health equivalent of a physical first aider. Delegates learn to spot the early signs of mental ill health, to support a colleague in distress, and to signpost them to appropriate professional help.

Delivered to the MHFA England standard, the course builds confidence to start a conversation about mental health, listen without judgement, and respond in a crisis. It covers a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, suicidal feelings, self-harm, eating disorders and psychosis, and the practical role of the first aider in the workplace.

It is a strong fit for organisations building a supportive culture, and it complements management training such as the IOSH Managing Safely course, which covers stress and wellbeing as a workplace hazard. Mental health is increasingly recognised as a serious issue in construction in particular.

The certificate qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider for 3 years, with a refresher recommended to requalify.
